Mom - There are not enough words to describe how wonderful you are! You hugged if even from a distance. Your arms stretched the pew in church so we all could feel your love. You never let us leave without a final goodbye because "it's tradition" we always wave from the car. I love the fact that when we quote movies everyone jumps in, and we can laugh until our sides hurt. There are numerous memories of picnics, fishing, cold chicken and potato chips, and swimming in a lake that I would never dream of swimming in now. Canasta games where we played using M & M's, quarters, pennies, dimes, or anything else we could find as buys. Who can forget Joyful Notes and the trips we made in the "lovely" church van. You loved us all even when they weren't officially in your family. How we laughed as the hub caps fell off and rolled away as we bounced over the railroad tracks. How about the visit you and Jaime made to my dorm room where we laughed at the way we laughed which made us laugh more. How fun it is to laugh with you. What about all the trips to Grandma's house. The singing of "Battle of New Orleans", or "we're on vacation so we are only eating twice". How about the car that loved going to Denny's? Do you remember how we would tell our car that it's ok as we passed a Denny's but did not stop. All these memories, all the fun, all the happiness that you have brought to us by just being Mom. Now as an adult, you are there for me still. You laugh with me, spend time with me, and love me. You continue to cuddle, hug, kiss, and love. Now the game is Pinochle, and the M & M's are for eating. I love you Mom!! Thank you for everything you have done and still do!! You are an example of how I want to be for my children now.
